Jayden's Heart&Lung Transplant Fund

Jayden was born on September 20, 2007 with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. It means there are four different abnormalities. One being he has a VSD (hole between the left and right ventricle), an obstruction from the heart to the lungs, enlarged aorta, and thickening of the heart muscles. Jayden's situation is unique because instead of the regular blood vessels that take the blood to the lungs his are very small thin branches that are very narrow. He has had 3 heart surgeries and 2 stomach surgeries total and is seen closely by Pediatric Cardiology at Duke Hospital. Usually they would close the hole during the full repair but Jayden still has very high pressures (Pulmonary Hypertension) so it is very unsafe to close. We have been talking to his Cardiologist about a double lung and heart transplant for about a year. He said there will come a time where the heart will slow down we just can't gauge when this will happen. They started him on another medication called Lataris and we've been using it for about 9 months. Things are moving faster than expected and at our last appointment today we were told the right side of his heart is slowing down. The medication clearly isn't doing it's job. Although Duke University is AMAZING they do knot do Pediatric transplants. Dallas, TX has the nearest hospital that can treat him. This creates a problem for us because Kelvin and I will have to take leave at our jobs or possibly lose them depending on the amount of time we will have to be out of work. We don't have any savings and this would be a huge financial issue as far as us making it there and surviving during that time. If you are able, we are asking that you help support our son, our pride and joy, so that we can provide the best care possible for him. He has overcome so much in his 9 years on this earth and he deserves a chance with a new heart and new lungs. We've got a long road ahead and we appreciate your support❤️
