Jayden Jensen Memorial Fund

Hi, I am fundraising for 16 y/o Jayden Jensen, the son of a Shawn Jensen.  While duck hunting with friends near Blackfoot on Dec 6, Jayden fell into the 39 degree Snake River three days ago.  Search and Rescue immediately responded and searched with infrared-equipped helicopters, planes, boats, and on foot for the remaining half day with no results.  

On Dec 7 at 8am the Search and Rescue teams arrived again with more divers and searched all day in biting wind and rain, again with no luck.  Dozens of friends and family also showed up to aid in the search.  Shoshone fish and game also helped in the search from the southern side of the river.  

Today, Dec 8, Bonneville County graciously joined the all-day search, but still nothing.  All teams have committed to continue searching until Jayden’s body is recovered.  

Please consider donating to Jayden’s memorial and funeral fund.  This is to help cover the basic funeral and burial costs (6-8k). Funeral costs aren’t covered by any type of insurance except a specific person’s life insurance or funeral insurance policy.  So Jayden’s father will have to pay all costs out of pocket.

Update: Today we reached 75% of our goal for Jayden’s Memorial fund.  A solemn thank you to all who have contributed so selflessly.  

Updated 12/11/23: As of today, our community has not only reached our goal, but also exceeded it! It truly has been moving to see so much love from so many good people.  

A few friends have explained to me that funerals can cost more than my estimate, especially including gravestones, burial plots, etc. We are going to keep this fundraiser going for a little longer for those who have not yet had the chance to donate.
