Helping Jayda Ray and Her Mother After a Tragic Car Accident

Hello, my name is Natalia. I’ve started this GoFundMe for my best friend Jayda who has unfortunately been in a very bad car accident on November 10th, 2024. She is new to Brockville, Ontario, originally from Ottawa and looking for support in the community. She lives just with her mother as her father had passed. Days after her 16th birthday she didn’t think she would wake up in the hospital not knowing what happened or where she was, getting into a car not knowing that this could have cost her life. A completely totalled car and no fatalities is a miracle and god was definitely on their side. I got the call my best friend was in the hospital 30 minutes into my shift. Breaking down I head over to Brockville General and meet with her mother and I get to see my best friend. Luckily she was awake, but she is suffering through many injuries including a broken pelvis and a split skull. These next few months she will have to go through extensive physical therapy to relearn to walk. This is truly heart breaking for her and her mother as she was just beginning to have fun in this new environment she isn’t used to.

Any funds donated will be going towards the therapy that it will take for her to recover as well as a few nice things for her to enjoy herself as her life will become much more difficult in these next coming months.
