Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I was involved in a serious accident on Friday when a heavy steel stack collapsed, resulting in a severe crush injury to my leg. I am currently at Poole Hospital waiting to be transferred to the specialist team at Salisbury for reconstructive surgery and skin grafts.

Lying here in this hospital bed, all I can think about is how incredibly lucky I am that things weren’t a lot worse. A freak moment like that completely shifts your perspective and makes you rethink what truly matters in life.

As a full-time dad, my absolute world is my 9 year old daughter. But being completely out of action means my income has hit an instant brick wall, and my only focus right now is ensuring she is safe, secure, and looked after while I can't work. The medical team have told me I'm looking at a strict 8 to 12-week road to recovery before I can get my mobility back or handle daily life normally again.

I am setting up this page to help cover our basic household bills and keep things steady for my daughter over the next couple of months, so I can focus entirely on healing up, rehab, and getting back to life with her.
