We recently received the news no one ever wants to hear: my brother has been diagnosed with neck cancer. There are so many lives that have been touched in some way by this disease. What started as a small health concern quickly turned into a battle far bigger than any of us expected. His days are now filled with treatments, appointments, exhaustion, and the emotional weight that comes with fighting a disease that is relentless. Even so, he faces each day with courage, humor, and a quiet determination that inspires all of us around him. But the truth is, the fight is starting to take a toll – physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Between medical bills, medication, added time away from work, and the basic cost of living, his family needs help. And asking for help is the one thing he’s never good at.
