Harold (Jay) Gaines was born in Birmingham Alabama and joined the military in 1998 faithfully serving until his retirement in 2014 after multiple duty stations and deployments as an HVAC civil engineer. He lived a full and fruitful life, giving to all who surrounded him by being a loyal, trustworthy and a honorable friend so much to the point where he forgot about himself.
