Jay Cooper NICU

Nicole (Ankenbrandt) and Jacob Cooper's sweet baby, Jay Thomas Cooper arrived at 2:08pm on February 25th at 33weeks+0days, weighing at 4lbs 6oz. He was found to be in critical condition on a routine biophysical profile and Nicole was rushed to the hospital for an emergency C-section. Jay was placed on near maximum life support at the Kadlec NICU. Sunday, February 27th Jay was transferred to Seattle Children's NICU via fixed wing. The family is very impressed with the care they are receiving at Seattle Children's. Jay is dealing with multi-organ compromise but is making some improvements. As of February 28th he was able to start weaning off some drips and is responding to touch. He has started to kick, suck and squeeze fingers. The family has a long road ahead but are lucky to have such an amazing support team.
