As many of you know, our sweet Jaxon is truly our community’s baby. He has a heart full of love, a light that touches everyone he meets, and a spirit that brings people together in the most special way.
Yesterday, Jaxon was playing like all little boys do, and suffered a fall and hit his head on concrete. He was taken to Logan Regional and they quickly identified a brain bleed and he was flown to Charleston for more extensive care.
Jaxon was taken straight into surgery, where doctors had to remove the right side of his skull to stop the bleeding and remove a large clot. This was a life-saving procedure. They have told Emily and Jonathan that it could be 6 weeks to 3 months before he is able to have that part of his skull replaced.
As of this morning, Thursday April 9th, he is awake and talking to mommy and daddy.
We are asking for continued prayers during this time. We are believing in God’s healing hand, His comfort, and His strength to carry Jaxon and his family through the days ahead. Please keep Emily and Jonathan lifted in your prayers. No parent should have to walk through something like this, and they are carrying the unimaginable weight of seeing their baby in this condition. Pray for their strength, comfort, and faith in the days ahead.
The outpouring of love and support has already been overwhelming, and we are so incredibly grateful. Jaxon has always been called their “little community baby,” because he truly doesn’t meet a person that he doesn’t make smile or laugh. He is loved by so many, and it means the world to see that love surrounding him now.
If you feel led to give, your donations will help support medical expenses, travel, and the long road to recovery ahead. If you can’t give, please continue to pray and share.
Thank you all for loving Jaxon like your own.
