Help support Jaxson Wolford and Family!

On October 12th, 2024, Jaxson Wolford was handed a Silver Medal for fighting a very tough battle through a local Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. The next few months Jaxson battled with pain related to what everyone thought was whiplash from the tournament. The pain was relentless and nothing seemed to help. We visited the Red Deer Hospital on 4 separate occasions for this concern and the different treatments and medications would help briefly but the pain would return with horrible vengeance. After months of no relief and Jaxson being transported by ambulance to the Stollery Children’s Hospital on February 26th, 2025, Jaxson was handed something totally life changing. A Diagnoses with Stage 4 Metastatic Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare and aggressive type of bone cancer. Jaxson began his Chemotherapy treatments and rehabilitation with 4 fractured vertebrates and being bedridden for 3 weeks. Jaxson is showing good progress and strength despite Fracturing his Sternum during his rehabilitation. As well as traveling between Blackfalds and the Stollery Children’s Hospital for frequent treatments and 8(so far) emergency blood transfusions has been tolling. He still attends School as often as possible and studies at home when he is feeling well, trying to keep his honor roll grades intact. Jaxson has endured through 2 months of his 9–12 months of treatment proving to be as relentless as the disease itself, with out-of-town hospital stays, endless pain, medications, complications and side effects that no 12-year-old should have to face. He has a warrior’s spirit and remains positive despite having a difficult path forward.
The Wolford family cannot put in words gratitude and appreciation for all the help on this long and challenging journey.
The donation proceeds would help by going toward out of town travel expenses, medications not covered by insurance, loss of income as Desirae (Jaxson’s mom) had to take a leave of absence from work, along with unforeseen costs related to illness, recovery and providing comfortability and normality to Jaxson and his parents as they navigate through all these changes.
