A lot of you will have followed Jax’s story when he arrived as part of the “Hungarian 9” a broken boy, barely able to walk, abused, left in excruciating pain all his life. Until he arrived at JSIR and with the love and care from Janice he was seen by vets & specialists & with the incredible kindness and generosity from so many of you we were able to give him two new back legs.
He then chose his mummy & daddy ( myself and Chris and fur friends Diva and Shyla ) to continue his rehab and live with in his forever loving home. He’s been walking/ playing / swimming and what we thought was on a great new start… fast forward to a few months ago we started to see a decline in his walking/ limping/ screaming at times getting up- several vet checks later librella injections / pain meds / yumove tablets and back to his specialist we discovered our precious boy is not doing well at all- both his front elbows and shoulders have degenerated very quickly and he’s in an lot of pain and hardly able to walk. He’s on strict rest and just outside to toilet. After lots of research and discussions with Janice, myself, specialist vets reviewing his case - desperate to see what the the best course of action could be and quite quickly for him, to end his suffering - there’s some amazing news that he’s a candidate for blood plasma and stem cell treatment.
I’ll post separately as to what that entails. The bad news is that it’s not cheap (when are these things ever and that we can’t insure him) and there was no space to get him in this year - HOWEVER myself and Janice pleaded his case and how this sweetest natured boy doesn’t deserve another day in pain. The powers that be have fallen for this boy like we all did and pulled out all the stops and can offer 22nd Dec for his first op.
I hate asking for money- but In all honestly I’m desperate- this boy means so much to our Shiba community and is my absolute shadow and I know you’ll hate to see him suffering as much as we are and If you can find it in your hearts to help Jax this one last time, to finally give this boy the pain free life he deserves -even £1 we would be eternally grateful. The reason for go fund me was decided by Janice and myself as it’s the quickest and easiest way to track amounts and transfer funds straight over ( if you have any questions about this please don’t hesitate to ask)
The pic of him is just that- the nicest natured, sweetest boy who genuinely needs this op so desperately to have a pain free life. Much love to all, thank you for taking the time to read and if you’re able to donate. Can we pull together to help this broken boy finally be fixed?
Jax sends you all a massive cuddle xxx
