On 8/9/13 I gave birth to identical twin boys, Jaxon and Kevin. Jaxon was diagnosed with a very rare condition after birth ...called OEIS complex. The O stands for omphalocele, which means the intestines, liver and kidneys are outside his little body. E stands for extrophy, which means the bladder and pelvis is split in 2. I stands for Imperforate anus, meaning there is no opening where there should be, and S stands for spinal defects, in Jaxon's case a tethered spinal cord with fatty deposits on the spine. OEIS is a very rare condition affecting about 1 in 250,000 to 1 in 400,000 live births. 10% of cases occur in identical twins, where one is born healthy, and the other has OEIS. Multiple surgeries will be needed throughout his life to correct things and to fix what they can.  After 468 days he has finally come home.  Mom had to stop working.  With the holidays coming up anything can help.  We love you all.
