Jaxon's Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Meet Jaxon Edward Bates. He was born on March 26th, 2023. Unfortunately, Jaxon had a traumatic entry into this world. He was born without a heartbeat. Thankfully, after 16 minutes, it was restored. Jaxon has now undergone 72 hours of body cooling treatment at the DeVos Children’s Hospital. On March 30th, the body-warming process began, allowing for his mommy and daddy to hold him for the very first time.
Due to complications, Jaxon wasn’t able to get an MRI as soon as we had hoped. The medical team is doing its best to get Jaxon in a position where he can successfully have an MRI to determine the extent of the damage to his brain.
Currently, Jaxon is off the ventilator and can breathe on his own with the assistance of some oxygen running through his nose. He is able to move his little arms around, and his dad finally got him to take a pacifier. Jaxon is still working towards eating food, but this strong little man will get there.
Jaxon will need ongoing treatment at DeVos. This will include feeding therapy, physical therapy, and ongoing testing. His mommy and daddy are at his side. Being at his side means they are going without an income for an unknown length of time. Medical expenses, housing expenses, travel expenses, and food expenses are building up. On top of that, their expenses back home are left unattended.
Not only are they caring for their baby boy, but they also are caring for their 3-year-old daughter, Madelynn James.
Please consider donating to Jaxon, Maddie, Aaron, and Haley in this time of need. Aaron and Haley must maintain their home for their little girl and baby boy while also ensuring Jaxon’s medical expenses are paid.
Any amount of donation will help. Please, please, please help this family through this very difficult time.
