Friends and family,

My sweet boy, Jaxon, tore his CCL (in humans, it’s known as an ACL). He is only two years old. Originally, we tried red light therapy to heal him. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough. Jaxon will need very expensive surgery and aftercare (physical therapy, hydro therapy and cold laser therapy) in order to get back to normalcy and live pain free at 100% capacity. Unfortunately, we do not have pet insurance. However, after this experience, we have acquired it for any future issues. It will not cover his pre-existing condition, but will cover any issues thereafter.

It pains me so much to even ask this of people, but the need for surgery came out of left field and we cannot afford it. Jaxon is very young and has a full life ahead of him. I will post all receipts of all expenses, vet appointments, and after care. I want everyone to know where their money is going. It is not easy for us to ask for help, but our dogs are our children, as we are empty nesters with our son grown and off on his own with a child of his own. If there is any money left over (the amount requested is due to quotes), we will donate it to Harley’s Haven, which is an amazing animal rescue that works with our vet (Pennridge). We would be very grateful for any contributions, nothing is too small; we are being humbled by making this request as it is difficult to ask for help. We are extremely thankful that you took the time to read this and so very grateful for your thoughts, prayers and kindness for our sweet boy!

P.s Jaxon’s surgery date is tentatively set for Thursday, September 18.
