Jaxon was born 6 weeks early with a congenital heart disease. Even with that his delivery didn’t go smoothly. He was breech and mama required emergency C-section due to being breech as well as severe pre eclampsia. While getting prepped for C-section Heathers water broke and Jaxon began to come feet first with the umbilical cord coming out first. The team at University of Maryland acted quickly and successfully get Jaxon out. Jaxon was immediately taken to the NICU on oxygen and after getting lines for meds and such he was brought to the PICU where they intubated him and where he currently remains. Jaxon has undergone 2 open heart surgeries one to fix the Coarctation of Aorta, and most recently for closure of VSDs (holes towards the bottom of his heart). He’s overcome a couple infections but with that he is one fiesty guy! Jaxon has still a long way to go before we can get home. Both John and Heather have been off work since Jaxons birth and are expected to go back in the next couple weeks however that means no one will be able to be with Jaxon due to work schedules. With Jaxon still in the hospital and for an unexpected time John and Heather are asking for some help so someone can still be with Jaxon. You don’t think about all the unexpected expenses like parking and such as well as all the things Jaxon needs when he comes home. Every little bit helps and is much appreciated!!
