Jax patiently waited 5 month in a shelter where he gave all potential adopters his very best wiggle, in hopes he would be recognized, watching puppies, small dogs and fancy dogs, chosen and off to their homes but nobody ever chose Jax☹ Hard to understand, as Jax is so handsome, a perfect med size cutie, super sweet, gentle, calm, with the very best personality, friendly to people, good with dogs, great on a leash, even carries his toys with him (so endearing)! I almost forgot, he also loves to give kisses and is so appreciative of attention! Though adopters passed Jax by at the shelter, he did not go unnoticed, the shelter staff, volunteers and rescue fell in love with him, and together worked extremely hard to get him out of the shelter! Jax is in a TLC foster home now where he is doing amazing, and his foster family has only the most wonderful things to say about him! In sharing, they mentioned his silly sit and funny walk. As a precaution, the rescue group made an appointment to see an Orthopedic, hoping for the best, as Jax had already gone through so much. Today, Jax was diagnosed with two torn ACLs with the beginnings of arthritis! If untreated, Jax who is young, will have a rapid decline in mobility over the next year and all the years of his life forward! Without surgery the arthritis will progress, and he will suffer great pain which will only increase with time, and his quality of life will reduce dramatically as will his life expectancy. Running and playing will quickly become a thing of the past and soon walking will be a daunting task! PLEASE HELP US HELP JAX! With surgery, Jax will have his young knees back in just a couple of months, and soon thereafter will be able to play, and even run again! You can give Jax the gift of a long quality life!
