On Sunday August 10, 2025, three police officers showed up on my sister's doorstep to tell her that her 22-year-old son had committed suicide. My nephew Jax, the calmest, gentlest soul I have ever known, decided that this life was just too much to handle. Obviously, the death of any loved one is a tragedy, but suicide takes that to an entirely different level. So many questions...so much guilt.

As suicide does, it hits you completely unprepared mentally, emotionally, and financially. I have created this Go Fund Me to assist my sister in paying for final arrangements to lay Jax to rest. All money raised will go towards his funeral expenses. Anything left over will be donated to an organization focusing on mental health.

As everyone says, you never want to have to ask for help, especially not for something like this. Please know that any financial help you can provide will also help in a much bigger way by allowing my sister to focus on grieving and healing without the financial burden.
