I am a businessman that owns a business in Denver, Colorado.
Every single day, our property is violated by homeless and drug dealers who trespass, illegally camp, leave trash, drug needles, and defecate on the property.
The City of Denver hasn't raised a finger to enforce the law and protect our fundamental rights to property and safety.
Now, the City is trying to fine me because I'm fed up and don't want to suffer this burden any more. It's not safe for me or my employees to handle these toxic and dangerous materials ourselves - there was a Hepatitis outbreak among homeless in Denver, and you can get hepatitis or AIDS from contaminated drug needles. We have done this for years, but, if the city won't enforce the law against dumping, littering, public defecation or trespassing, I think the City should be responsible for that dumping, littering, needles and defecation that the City's policy not only allows but encourages.
I am asking for your help for our legal defense - I have to go to court in the next few months to defend my rights.
Any funds raised over and above our legal fees, will be donated to organizations trying to help 'homeless' get off the street.
