Jaw Replacement Surgery

Last year, I had an ameoblastoma take over the right side of my mandible. What you see that is marked from Red to Red is what the doctor cut out. Mind you, most of the mandibular bone was gone and filled with the tumor (ameloblastoma).
Here is a picture of what the inside looked like when the tumor took over. Notice the difference from the sides.
With the removal of the tumor, I lost the nerve that will give me feeling on the right side along with my teeth. I will probably lost the ability to pucker my lips for a at least on the right side. My scar runs from in front of the top of my ear to across my chin. The bone was replaced by a bone of a dead person (cadivular bone) and a shaving from the illiac crest (right hip). along with a titanium plate to hold it in place.
As you can see the tumor was ginourmous!! Its gross but that was in my face.
For a few months the Titanium Plate was working. Slowly , the screws penetrated my gums and the joint that connects the plate and the skull resorbed into the new bone. At any moment the plate can puncture my skull and cause serious brain damage.
The condyle also disappeared. The only thing holding up my skull is the Titanium plate.
I have the get it removed and start all over. This time they customized a new titanium condyle to replace what is missing.
They are also taking bone out of my left Illiac crest this time.
I will probably end up being this swollen as I was last year.
My surgery is scheduled on the 11th. I need to meet with the $1500 deductible by 9th.
Turns out I owe him $ 3000 total for this surgery.
So surgery was a success but now I am very swollen.
Due to the swelling I lost the ability to her out of the right ear and my right eye cannot fully function.
There is still more work to do such as getting my eye blinking corrected and hopefully draining the fluid out of my ear.
the doctor said that the plate was just hanging from my face and was lucky nothing disastrous happened such as penetration thru my skull.
