Our lifelong friends Lauren Curtin, Greg Puopolo, their two children, along with Lauren’s Brother Erin Curtin suffered a great tragedy on Wednesday when their house was destroyed in a horrible fire. They watched in anguish as their home of 30 years was gutted by the flames. They are devastated but thankful they are safe and that their close friend and fellow resident Heather and her family also escaped without injury. Sadly, the flames grew so rapidly there was no time to rescue the family’s beloved pets. They lost a cat and several dogs.
All of their possessions were lost in the fire. Lauren and her family are in desperate need of clothing, basic necessities and school supplies for her 6 & 8 year-old sons. Their lives have been severely disrupted. They will need to find a new home and rebuild their lives.
The family would like to thank everyone who has generously donated to Brittany Waugh’s GoFundMe page as the support is sorely needed. We have created this page to aid the outreach to friends of Lauren, Greg, and the other victims of this tragedy so that they may be able to recover as quickly as possible.
