Javier Osvaldo Simental

This is Javier: brother, son, father, friend…lost to us at only 46 on September, 25th from a sudden illness. As too many of us know, grief and tragedy are a part of life, but for Dominick, Javier’s 10 year old son, the loss of his father has come all too soon.

As a single father, Javier was raising Dominick, his beautiful son who was born with disabilities, with the kind of love all fathers should have for their children. Over the last few days, Dominick has shared some of the great things he loved about his dad, but what he recounted the most was that “my daddy was always smiling.” All of us who were fortunate to know him would say the same.

He was such a light in all our lives with his many sayings (which will live on), his laughter and stories, and his selfless generosity to whomever needed it, whenever they needed it. That’s what we’re asking for now: the generosity of others to help Dominick and the whole family with the expenses that are adding up in these difficult times. With Javier being a single father, the family is tasked with laying him to rest and helping Dominick to have a good life.
