Hi!
My name is Lizette Moncivais and I am the oldest of 5 children. I am setting this GFM for my father, who is critically ill on a ventilator with the coronavirus.
On July 23, my father, Javier Moncivais, was admitted to Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels, Tx. At first, he was just a little short of breath. We were able to talk to him daily. But, early last week we got the terrible news that he was in ICU on a ventilator.
He is 57 and unfortunately has comorbidities; diabetes and hypertension. The doctors are telling us he has a very low chance to recover.
He is a family man and has worked really hard to change his life. He gave up smoking and drinking 20 years ago, and devoted his life to God. He'd give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it! He has spent the last several weeks in isolation away from his beloved family. It's crushing us to think those may be his final days!
Recently, he was laid off at his career of 30+ years at Union Pacific. He has continued to help support his 5 children, and could not afford to continue insurance payments.
We love our Dad very much and have been praying for his recovery. Please help in any way you can!

How the money will be spent?
The donated money will go to the hospital and pay for the treatment and hospital care my dad receives. Also any remaining money will donated to hospital for other patients who are in need of financial assistance.
Why this means so much to me and my family?
My father means so much to us. He is our biggest fan and would do this, or more, for each of us.
The Moncivais family appreciates your support and are our grateful for every day my Dad is given to battle this deadly virus.
