Javier and Joseph Gomez

No one is ever prepared to lose a loved one, and unfortunately our family has just lost two in a very short period of time. Javier and his son Joseph Gomez both passed away this year. My grandma lost her husband of 50 years and then her son, only four months apart. Two sudden deaths in one year has drastically caused huge financial hardship. The emotional distress takes a lot mentally from anyone, and my grandma Sara not only grieves for her husband but now for her son as well. Physically she still recovers from a recent knee surgery. Even though she mourns for the loss of her husband and child, she somehow manages to support others around her. We ask for some support for Her in these times, whether you take some time to donate, share, or even a prayer.

 

Javier Gomez lost his battle to kidney cancer this year shortly after being diagnosed. He never gave up and fought to live. He was a devoted father and worker. He has never been one to shy from physical labor to support his family and amazing wife Sara. When you think of your grandfather, one of the first traits that comes to mind is strength and Javier showed it.

 

Joseph Gomez had several health complications including Lupus that made life difficult. You would have never known it because he made it his mission to make people laugh no matter the severity of pain he was in. Laughter always had to be priority. Besides fighting a life altering autoimmune disease, he hustled until he couldn’t anymore. He knew the mission was to support his wife and four beautiful daughters.
