UPDATE: On Friday April 12, 2019, 6:01PM, Javier passed away peacefully in his home. A funeral service is currently pending with possible dates: Monday April 29th (viewing) and Tuesday April 30th (funeral service including mass). A HUGE thank you to  everyone's generous contributions to help us reach $2,000!! We are extremely grateful and we will try our best to keep this updated. 

In June of 2018, Javier Alvarez was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney cancer. He is a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and has served our country for 8 years. He is a 56 year-old son, husband, father of five with the youngest being in 8th grade, and a grandfather of two.

After months of chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries to drain excess fluid from his heart and lungs, and many ER visits, it was determined January 2019 that Javier’s health was terminal and rapidly declining.

All funds donated will go towards hospital bills, household bills due to loss of income, and eventually funeral expenses. We appreciate all and any donations, prayers, and thoughts. Thank you. (We only posted photos in respect to how Javier would want to be remembered).
