WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!

Thanks to everyone that gave! The wheelchair is on order and will be here within the next 60 days. This will be such a blessing allowing Javan to be in less pain and allow him to continue his writing.

Many know Javan as the author of the Zombie Lake series of books but what some do not know is that he has Friedreich's Ataxia.

Friedreich’s ataxia is a rare, inherited, degenerative disease. It damages the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and the cerebellum portion of the brain. Javan now spends all of his waking time in a wheelchair but the progression of this has made it difficult for him to breathe. He needs a new chair that will help him do that. Much of the cost is covered by insurance but there is a large chunk that has to be paid out of pocket.

As a Community we can do this easily and that is why I set this up for him. If each of us gave up a single cup of coffee, or one small treat that we like and instead gave to this cause he would have his chair!
