After several trips to the ER, Jathan Johnson (14) was finally admitted to Sutter Medical Center last week where they found him to have fluid around his heart as well as an enlarged liver and spleen. In addition to being VERY sick he has also undergone heart surgery to drain some of the fluid around his heart. A diagnosis for what is causing his symptoms has not yet been determined. Everyone is hoping for a quick diagnosis so a plan that will best help Jathan get better can be immediately devised.

Because of the severity of Jathan's condition his dad, Kevin, has not left his side and has missed--and will continue to miss--several weeks of work. This fund is being set up to support Jathan's family in their time of need. The proceeds will help cover their rent, utilities, food and other incidentals while Jathan and his doctors search for a path to his recovery.
