Jassy’s Fight Against Leukemia

With my sister Jessica and niece Jassy’s permission, this account has been created.

On January 23,2024 Jasmarie “Jassy” went to Children’s Hospital to have testing completed for Leukemia. Jessica said, “I thought I was going to receive the news that my baby was fine.” Unfortunately that was not the case and Jasmarie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. That same day Jassy was admitted into Children’s Hospital and told that would be her new home for the next 9-12 months. In less than a month Jassy has undergone aggressive chemotherapy and recently received the news that chemotherapy will only become more difficult due to her having Hypodiploid Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia- a mutation that lowers the chromosome numbers. Doctors are in the process of running further tests to determine if there are other cancers present. Jassy is 15 years old and is fighting hard against this awful disease because she has a 3 year old sister and 12 year old brother who eagerly wait for her to come home. During this time of so much uncertainty it is our goal that we can alleviate the financial burden so my sister Jessica can focus on Jassy’s recovery.
