Jassinta Ocen

My mum, Jassinta, was a kind-hearted woman with a deep love for nature. She was known for her artistic flare, humanitarianism and her ability to find beauty in the simplest things. Despite her vibrant spirit, my mum struggled with depression for many years. These battles were difficult for her and for those who loved her, but they never overshadowed the love and warmth she gave to others.

Even in her hardest moments, she never lost her compassion for others. She had a resilience that kept her going, and she always tried to find the light in the darkest times. One of my favourite memories is when she would stay up late with me as a child and teach me the art of stories and storytelling.

In her spare time she advocated and taught the youth. She emphasised the importance of education, forward thinking and a high degree of empathy towards humanity.

In her memory, I'd like to use the funds to give her a send off as she is in a better place now.
