hello!
my name is jasper, and i'm a nonbinary transmasculine person (he/they). i'm currently raising funds to save for top surgery. with the costs of the surgery itself, flights, accom, post-op care, i will likely be looking at the total cost being around 7.5k.
7.5k cost breakdown:
surgery - £4500
post-op surgery care - £500
accommodation - £800
flights - £1000
travel insurance - £500
as someone who is disabled/chronically ill, i have been out of employment for approx. two years and my only source of somewhat regular income is through my student finance. i have applied for benefits & am trying to find a job that is compatible with both my education and my disability/chronic illness. due to a complicated relationship with my family, asking them for support is something i do not feel comfortable with. i moved out at 18, and rent the place where i live currently so for the most part am financially independent.
as a result of these factors, saving money for my top surgery alongside the cost of living is a difficult task. so that is why i have decided to fundraise for my top surgery as realistically with nhs waiting times, it is my only choice. currently, my only options are to wear baggy shirts/jumpers or to bind. as an anemic person with hypothyroidism and chronic fatigue, i already struggle with multiple barriers in everyday life so binding is something that i resort to when oversized clothing doesn't do enough in terms of me feeling comfortable. being able to wear what i want while feeling comfortable in my body is something that i would like to be possible without further impacts on my health.
any donation/share is appreciated :) <3
