Jasper Wildfire Support for Frank

We are friends of Frank and asking for support.

At 10pm Monday July 22 , 2024 the municipality of Jasper was ordered to evacuate due to wildfires threatening the town. Jasper, sometimes referred to as the Jewel of the Rockies has captured many hearts of visitors and travelers from afar. For some of us who escape to Jasper for a holiday - Frank (pictured above) has called Jasper his home. 10 years ago , after his time completed in the military, Frank moved out to Jasper for love . The love of rock climbing and the Rockies. Living out of his car with a laptop, a mind of motivation and a passion for the sport - Frank went out to publish the only rock climbing guidebook that spotlighted Jasper’s climbing haven. Frank’s dedication to climbing, the love for Jasper and its community is palpable and truly honorable .

With nothing but a small backpack and his passport, Frank alongside the rest of his community made the devastating action of evacuate the town. Frank has since learnt that his place was one of the homes lost in the fire. He is now safe in Edmonton and taking the time to grieve and process the situation.

We have had the privilege of having Frank in our lives for the last 13 years and have also fallen in love with Jasper because of our local guide that is him. Even so that we eloped in Jasper in the spring of 2021.

We are asking for love to be the aftermath of this tragedy. Any donations and well wishes are welcomed as we help Frank and his partner Charlotte through this unimaginable time .
