Hi my name is Ben and both my children Natalie Ray and Keaton Metcalfe were forced to evacuate from Jasper Alberta three long days ago. Our family is from Windsor, ON, but both kids have been in Jasper for several years working at the Jasper Park Lodge, building their lives. Monday night at 9:30 their worst fears came true as the fire progressed directly towards the town and the mandatory evacuation order was issued. They had minutes to grab their essentials and get out of town. Thousands of people were evacuating on the only road out of Jasper and their were no accommodations. The kids were on the road for the past 3 days with pretty much the clothes on their backs. We flew them home, but just yesterday Natalie received information that her apartment was completely destroyed in the fire and she lost 100% of her contents. We are still waiting to hear about Keaton's apartment. We are trying to get the kids some help to get back on their feet and help with the costs they have incurred.
