Jasper Evacuee who lost everything in the wildfire!
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Abii.
I was living in Jasper, Alberta for 3 months on a working holiday visa.
I was evacuated from my home on Monday 22nd July due to wildfires.
On Wednesday 24th July I saw photos of my street and house on fire.
On Saturday 27th July I had confirmation that my house was destroyed in the fires.
Unfortunately during the evacuation I had barely anytime to grab anything. I only packed a few T-shirts, pants and a hoodie (and a bar of soap - ✨essentials✨).
I am now in the (very expensive) process of having to re-purchase EVERYTHING that I own and bought out here with me. I was living in staff accommodation so didn’t have any house insurance and my travel insurance doesn’t cover ‘acts of god’.
Any amounts to help me buy some new clothes, basic essentials and help me fund temporary accommodation until my next steps are sorted out would be so incredibly appreciated!
