Hi, My name is Marc I've had Jasper ever since he was 4 weeks old, he is now 4 and is a very energetic, loving little guy who loves to chase balls and tear up stuffed animals. Jasper is more than just a dog, he's my baby and has been by my side through some of the toughest times in my life. He's my bundle of joy and couldn't imagine living without him.

On the morning of 3/6/23 Jasper woke up unable to walk and was in excruciating pain. I rushed him to the vet where they diagnosed him with a slipped Disc. We got him omitted to the VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, where they performed an MRI and found out he ruptured 3 lumbar discs, (L10-L12) and had bruising on his spinal cord. There was no particular situation that caused this but he has always been sensitive about people touching his butt or mid-back. Jasper has always been a very anxious dog so we thought nothing of it, he never let us believe that he was in pain. the vet visit was $289 with blood work and the hospital treatment plan alone will be $13,288.10-$13,488.10, putting him down wasn't an option and I needed to relieve his pain as quick as possible.

On 3/7/23 Jasper underwent surgery that lasted just over 2 hours with no complications.

on 3/8/23 I received word that Jasper was eating and walking, and they were weaning him off IV drugs and onto oral medication. If he's in great spirits by tomorrow morning I will be able to take him home.

Any funds raised will go to Jaspers vet bills and any leftover amount will be donated to another pet in need on Gofundme. I will post pictures and videos of Jasper through his recovery journey, as well as notify the group on which fundraiser receives any extra funds.

A bit about myself, I was born and raised in California and currently live in Los Angeles with my partner Donnie. 3 Months ago I decided to quit my restaurant job and follow my dream of owning my own business.
