I am a registered foster with CNY Cat Coalition, and Jasper has been in my care since May 12, 2025.

Jasper was found anorexic, injured, drooling, and unable to eat with a limp back end.

We thought the worst.

After much coaxing, he worked up the courage to approach us while we were trapping at a local cat colony, and he was taken in for medical care.

It was discovered that Jasper had numerous barbs lodged in his mouth causing severe pain, drooling, and inflammation; together with two broken teeth, and a lumbar/tethering injury causing an atrophied tail. He also tested positive for FIV.

The barbs in his mouth were removed, his tail was assessed with numerous x-rays, and he was taken in for a dental exam for his broken teeth. He has been to see multiple vets and has received constant love, support and encouragement in foster care.

I am humbly asking for donations to help cover the cost of Jasper's dental extraction surgery, which was paid for out-of-pocket, as well as the required pre-op dental exam and lab work. The cost of Jasper's dental surgery was $795.50, and the cost of his pre-op exam and lab work totaled $377.00.

Jasper's dental surgery and veterinary care have been life-changing. He is now a confident, plump, adorable, playful, social, and affectionate 3-year-old mush-ball; who wants nothing more than to sit on your lap for pets and play with his favorite toys and feline friends. And he will be up for adoption very soon!

Jasper fought hard to survive and was so brave to trust one last person to ask for help. I am so grateful we were there when he needed us. His glow up has been one for the ages.
