Update: 1-5-2022; Jason was intubated on Christmas morning,  Remains heavily sedated, and on max pressors for ventilation with oxygen saturation of low 90's .He also has severe lung tissue damage.   Jason has a blood clot in his left leg, on a very low dose of blood thinner. Has spiked a couple of temperatures and unable to find the source. Blood cultures , along with sputum, and urine have all been obtained.  Jason has completed a 10 day course of Steroids and started on a second round of different steroids.  Jason remains in a very critical situation.

Jason's Journey:
Jason was diagnosed with Covid and has been battling this process for over a week and a half- ish at home without a successful recovery and has required him to seek emergency medical help. Jason had passed out at home the previous day, and following day he started to turn purple ( due to lack of oxygenated blood flow). Jason has been hospitalized due to the complications from Covid and development of bilateral pneumonia. Thankfully, Jason does not have any blood clots in his lungs at this time.

Jason was initially placed on BIPAP when he fist went to the hospital to help him breathe, also allow his body to heal. Admitted to a medical surgical unit for monitoring; The doctors wanted to give him a trial of nasal cannula so Jason could at least move on his own in the bed. Jason failed this trial, immediately. Jason is still having trouble breathing on his own and has been placed back on BIPAP, and now must remain laying on his stomach, in order for him to receive enough oxygen. His lungs are just not able to work. Jason was transferred to the ICU ( intensive care unit) at max oxygen rate in order to keep his oxygen level above 90%.

Jason is a family man who has a huge heart and cares deeply for others, a Volunteer firefighter., and overall a good person. Always willing to lend a helping hand and never wants payment for his services.
He has 3 children, and a loving wife; The youngest child is 3 years old and keeps asking for his daddy, the other two are a little older , equally upset, and also missing their dad. Jason cannot have any visitors while going through this scary unprecedent time, yes he has a phone to call him, but he is not able to hold a conversation.

The recovery journey is no where close to an end. He will not be paid for the loss wages due to the amount of time he has been with the company. Christmas is a week away and Jason's wife is still trying to provide a Christmas for the family and pay the bills for the time Jason will be hospitalized.

So, I have decided to create a GoFundMe to help my brother and his family with whatever financial means.

I understand a lot of people are going through some hard times as well, anything that can be spared is greatly appreciated.
