Jason Nace was riding his bike in Eureka Springs, AR, when a freak mechanical failure occurred that caused a terrible crash - resulting in multiple breaks in his hip and and tibia.  The ER in Eureka Springs had him transferred to Springfield, MO for surgery. All in all, this will add up to several days in hospitals, undergoing many tests/scans and tapping into a high volume of healthcare resources.

With how much  Jason gives to the mountain bike community via trail building and stewardship, gladly helping anyone out with bike maintenance, and his inclusive, welcoming attitude to riders of all types and skill levels -  there are many folks who would be eager to chip in and show support. Even with insurance, the sheer number of tests/scans, resources and days spent in hospitals will add up to large dollar amounts and - only three months after Jason broke his collarbone, at that.
