April 2, 2019 at 5:38 PM in Mountain Home Arkansas my brothers life would change in the blink of an eye.
My brother, Jason, was in a horrific motorcycle accident that nearly took his life. We discovered there were two factors that saved his life. He laid the motorcycle down to prevent himself from going airborne, and apparently there was an individual at the scene that put a tourniquet on his leg to stop the bleeding. I want to think that was my brothers guardian angel, because had it not been for that person the EMT said he would have bled out. Jason was seriously injured in the accident, so Air Evac flew him to a hospital in Springfield, MO.
He had multiple facial fractures, several deep lacerations on his forehead, swelling and bruising. The most heartbreaking news was when we were told the doctors were unable to save his foot, so they had to amputate below his right knee.
Needless to say, Jason has a long and difficult road ahead of him. In 2017, his daughter/my niece, was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Since Jason is a single father, and the primary caregiver for his daughter he eventually lost his job therefore lost his health insurance as well. After losing his job, and just two weeks before the motorcycle accident, he lost his home. Devastating!
Jason is someone who NEVER asks for anything! Even when he was losing everything, his response was always “I’m Good”!
Well, I can honestly say he needs financial help, and emotional support now more than ever.
My goal is to raise enough money to help my brother with medical expenses, a prosthetic leg that is perfect for him ☺️, money to help him find a place to live, and travel expenses as he goes through physical therapy and many many doctors appointments.
From my entire family to yours, thank you so much for the support, prayers and well wishes.
