My name is Jason and I've been a personal trainer/ fitness instructor for the last 21 years.
Since I started in the industry I've had the goal and dream to open a gym of my own.
I got the chance to co-own a gym in 2013 when approached by the owners of Bassline Fitness in Kirkland.
I put my life savings into that gym, not to mention my time, blood sweat, and tears for 7 years. I built Bassline into what it became, a successful thriving fitness facility and my second home.
Bassline Fitness closed down last year during Covid. Before it closed I was planning to leave and take my share out of the gym and use it to build something of my own, that I would build. I unfortunately never got that chance.
The owners closed down Bassline claiming to have nothing more to give me than a check for $11.25. I had at least 100K owed to me. I question whether this was my fair share as they are living the "good life" in downtown Kirkland but I decided to just move on.
I took a huge hit financially during covid and still trying to get back on my feet. I have started building my personal training business in my garage with hopes to move it to a facility and open my own place.
A lot of people have approached me over the years saying they would invest in me and my gym. I'm hoping the time is now that I can start moving this forward with my dream so I can not only fulfill my goals but also support my family. As much as I hate admitting it... I can't currently do this on my own. One of my clients suggested opening a GoFund me to accept any donations towards this mission and I thought "what the heck". So anything is appreciated. I hope in the next year or so I can finally open JB Fit Labs (or 11.25 ) and do what I know I was meant to do.
