Jason’s Final Rest

Donation protected

In the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic, my faithful friend Angelique worked from home.  Faint sounds from the upstairs bedroom prompted her to check on her husband, Jason, a young and healthy man.

What she found when she entered their bedroom was her best friend and the love of her life gasping for air.  He shortly after Lost consciousness.  Angelique called 911 & pleaded for Jason to “Wake Up! Breathe! Tell Me What to Do!”

Angelique then started CPR & after approximately 15 minutes the paramedics arrived.  They shocked him and after establishing a heart beat rushed him to the nearest hospital.

Upon arrival, the medical professionals delayed slightly (rightfully so...) fearful of COVID 19; they too had to protect themselves.  They worked for hours and we were later informed that Jason was transitioned to the ICU.  He was on a vent; later to be diagnosed with having a heart attack.

The hospital policy in the midst of COVID 19 meant neither Angelique, his wife, nor any other visitor could go into the hospital and be by his side.

For 6 days, Jason’s team of medical providers and his wife communicated the only way they could.  They spoke via phone calls around the clock, the doctors and nurses giving continued updates on his status.  At first, there were signs of improvement but ultimately Jason was declared “Incompatible with Life - Too much brain damage”

On Wednesday, mercifully, the hospital allowed Angelique and one visitor (her mother) to enter and say their final good-byes.

On April, 15th 2020, at 7:07 p.m. Jason Edwards took his final breath on Earth.  He is mourned by his wife Angelique, mother Carol Edwards, Mother-In-Law Andie Davisson, brother Jeremy Edwards (Camille) and many friends and family.

On behalf of this family we humbly ask for financial support which will be applied directly towards the arrangements of his final resting as well as the medical expenses.

We furthermore thank you for contributions of prayers for well being, provision and peace in a world that continues to be so distant socially due to COVID 19.
