Jason's Ups and Downs

Hello my name is Rhonda Stokes, I'm Jason Roberts' mom and I want to tell you about my son. This page is being set up for his friends, co-workers, and loved ones to pay it forward and help Jason through these difficult times.
Jason has always had a vision for what his life would be like...a big family, a nice home to raise that family in and enough money in the bank to make sure they were all taken care of ...oh and all his bills paid. BUT, sometimes life has its' own plans for how it wants things to be for you, not how you want it to be.
Jason is a devoted single dad of five with three young daughter and son living full time with him in Red Bank, TN.  Jason works for PlayCore and has been a part of the PlayCore family since May of 2014.
After running a successful business of his own for 10 years, Jason sustained a career ending injury by taking a fall of over 35'  the day before Thankgiving 2011. But like always, Jason's drive to make sure his children's well-being and mental-state weren't effected he devoted himself to getting a Drafting & Design degree over the next  few years while recovering from 2 broken vertbrea and badly broken right foot.
Everything was going good for Jason, he had his big family (five children total, three daughters and his son that live with him full time), a nice home. and the money he needed to take care of his family and bills...BUT, once again life stepped in and changed all that. After years of fighting what we thought was only a chronic sinus infection, he was once again faced with another major hurdle. Recently, Jason was diagnosed with a rare strain of MRSA among other infections that attacks the soft tissues in his face.  From Jason's first sign of this issue up until his diagnosis (November 2015) the infections had  deteriorated the interior bridge of his sinus cavity and both the hard & soft palate on the right side of his face. Over the next several months this developed a nickel sized hole in the roof of his mouth caused by the gradually decaying tissue of his palate that caused him severe pain and loss of work which caused his family to fall apart and threats of eviction from his home and oh, yeah, bills...lots and lots of medical bills. With limited income and hungry mouths to feed; the rent, and everyday wants and needs were put at the bottom of the list of ever growing bills. Who could blame him? Family comes first...Right?? Hungry mouths need to be fed, and electricity needs to be paid for to cook for those hungry mouths. So, the doctor bills, ER bills, rent, and other bills had to go without being paid. Everything got behind.
Jason had reconstructive surgery March 11, 2016 to repair his mouth and try to get him back to as close a normal life as he could have, but not being back to 100% is going to take a while and in the meantime the bills keep coming. Everyone knows what insurance companies are like with their deductbles, co-pays and other hidden fees. I'm asking for much needed help for my son to catch up the medical bills, the rent (to stop the eviction process), and other unmentioned monthly bills that are close to being behind.
As Jason's mom,
I'm asking everyone who reads this to make at least $2.00 contribution to his Go Fund Me page and before long we'll reach our goal. $2.00 is far less than a pack of cigarettes, or a bottle of soda, or even a pack of chewing gum. Thank you everyone for reading this and God Bless You if you donate and God Bless You if you don't. We all deserve a Blessing today.
