Jason's Memorial Fund

We are raising funds to cover Jason’s funeral arrangements. He experienced some tough times in the last few years with multiple health issues and not being able to work.

Jason Jay Gauf was born to William Jay and Mary Kay Gauf in Spokane WA on July 24th 1970. He moved with his family to Western WA in 1984.  Jason graduated high school as a Ferndale Golden Eagle in 1989 and as a Certified Welder from Bellingham Technical College. He worked for over 2 decades in the welding field in various capacities, finally as a welding inspector. Jason’s sense of humor included a love of Calvin and Hobbes, the Far Side comics and a collection of sarcastic t-shirts. He loved to scuba dive. He had been a certified diver for many years. Enjoying diving locally in the Puget Sound, off Vancouver Island as well as in Fuji, the Cayman Islands and Cabo San Lucas. He also enjoyed fishing and coin and knife collecting. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Surrey Assembly Hall in 1989. He had a fondness for the area he was born, returning the last few years of his life to settle in the north eastern part of Washington State. He is survived by his 3 sisters; Christine Schmitt, Heather Gauf, Amber Rivinius and 4 brothers; Matthew Gauf, Nathan Gauf, Jared Gauf and Aaron Gauf along with many nieces and nephews. His memorial will be held on March 17th at 1pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses - 1525 Electric Ave Bellingham WA.
