Hi Friends and Family! 

I've been accepted into a fantastic computer programming bootcamp in Portland, called Epicodus , and I'm looking to raise enough money to make it happen. It's a 7 month program that starts March 13th and I'll be moving from San Diego up to Portland at the end of Feburary.  I was able to secure a loan to cover the cost of tuition but need to raise money for moving expenses, supplemental living expenses, and a laptop for class. My mom will be helping me out with what she can but I'm hoping to raise money on my own to help cover everything.

The program runs from the begininng of March until mid September and includes a month long internship. Class is 8-5 on Monday-Friday and I'll be working part-time on the weekends as well as looking for a good roommate situation to keep the cost of living down. 

This is a breakdown of my estimated expenses:
Moving from San Diego to Portland - $1500
Laptop for class - $1500
$1000/month living expenses for 7 months - $7000

Once I'm finished with the program, I'll be able to find decent paying work as an entry level software developer in the tech industry.  And as much as I don't think I'll enjoy the rain in Portland, I'm really excited to be starting the program and going back to school for something I find actually interesting!
