Hi, My name is Vanessa I am fundraising to help my Brother in law Jason and his family - On Sunday the 15th of June- Jason was rushed to hospital via ambulance feeling very unwell and suffering pains in the chest- upon arrival to the Singleton Hospital they were first advised he possibly had Pneumonia, he then under went many tests, and the doctors quickly realised that he was seriously unwell, they then quickly put him into a medically induced coma, he was then airlifted straight to Newcastle Hospital ICU with many life threatening diagnoses he then remained in a coma for some 9 days- After 3 days the results came back he was diagnosed with a streplocuccus bacteria infection in the lungs which has caused many lifelong conditions. With all these diagnoses you can imagine the stress and heartache that this has had on the family - it has been very overwhelming seeing the man they love on life support, hooked up to a ventilator, and on dialysis was heartbreaking for his wife and two sons to witness- they then rallied together as a family and stayed in Newcastle to be by his side - However my sister is the sole provider for the family at this time as Jason unfortunately suffered a very bad injury previously at work and at this time cannot work, so the financial stress this has had on the family is unthinkable, as you can imagine Michelle's life has been turned upside down and she is struggling to see a way forward as she has not been able to work and earn income- as you can imagine the bills are stacking up- Jason has now woken up but he will unfortunately still have a very long road to recovery and will have many ongoing lifelong medical challenges into the near future- I am asking if anyone could please help this family - anything big or small is very muchly appreciated more than you could ever know- All donations will be used to help the family navigate the financial hardship they have endured and will be used to pay any expenses going forward in his recovery
