Jason Whitehead NYC Photo ExhibitionTrip

Hey everyone. If you don't me, I'm Jason Whitehead and I'm a photographer living in Texas. I've been taking photographs for a long time and have recently started my own photography business shooting street, landscapes and portrait work in my hometown plus taking a few trips out West to capture some of the beautiful landscapes West Texas has to offer.  In December, I shot a photograph that caught the attention of a gallery owner in Tribeca NYC that I posted on Instagram. She reached out to me about possibly representing me in her gallery, Gallery 104. I followed directions, paid my online fees and was then offered a chance to become involved with the Muse Exhibition or First Thursday Exhibition on March 5, 2020. I will have three online pieces for sale through the gallery and one or two pieces showing in the exhibition. Very exciting! The reason I'm asking for help is because this is an opportunity of a lifetime for me and I can't cover all of the costs to make this dream come true. I need to be there in person to represent my work, meet new people in the art community, make contacts and potentially get more work from the trip. Also, while I'm there, create new work from the city and the surrounding areas.  Any help I can get will go to the cost of printing, mounting, framing and shipping the 28" x 40" photograph from Dallas to NYC. I wanted it large in order to compete with all the other large pieces in the gallery exhibition. The funds will also help me cover my flight, room and any fees I have already paid to make this opportunity a reality for me. I will be staying in NYC from March 4 - March 7 and going through AirBnB for my room and only getting the very minimum of what I can afford. I will be taking the subway for transportation and only a cab or Uber if absolutely necessary. In closing I would like everyone to know that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I'm a very humble person and hardly ever ask for help, let alone financial help. But my wife and I simply cannot pay for this trip by ourselves. It's still a new photography business and it's still difficult to get clients that will support me enough to pay for the trip alone, but that's almost every new business. I'm just asking for any donation to help me get this dream off the ground and I can do the rest. And please know that I will spend every dollar on exactly what it was intended for and would never waste this opportunity on anything but furthering my business thanks to the generous donations that I'm hoping you can provide. This is my passion and photography is everything to me.
