Its with a heavy heart the passing of Jason Watson AKA Jedi

let’s give him the send off he truly deserves for what his done for his city and the good influence his had on so many people ️❤️

We celebrate the life of a unique and forward thinker, a father, a visionary, a hard working man that created a huge music scene that platformed multi talented people.

Jason Watson is first and foremost a master of ceremonies known as Jedi.

From his early teens he would host on pirate radio stations such as Silk and Kool Fm for the music he loved. A vision that was one of a kind, he saw that Birmingham needed to have a huge Garage music scene so he created a brand called Harmony which indeed united thousands of people from across the country.

Jason was the most hard working promoter and top of his game, at his time there was no one putting on raves on his scale and up to this very day the Harmony brand is unmatched.

The promotion strategy for Harmony was Mind blowing, he knew exactly who to book what people wanted and executed his marketing to perfection. We was introduced to a new way of promotion excellence, Jason really showed how you are supposed to ram a venue. A young man that loved ravers and had the whole country talking.

With Harmony you would get the biggest venues with the biggest production and the biggest djs and MCS.

Jason knew he was chosen to put Birmingham on the map with UK Garage and his Harmony brand was so strong it stood up against the biggest of Garage raves from London. It was Jason who introduced the top London garage djs to Birmingham.

Jason educated Birmingham on what was the top singles and gave us the PAS we all wanted to see.

The Harmony rave is the most successful urban rave in Birmingham history.

As a young man Jason inspired many young people to become promoters and shown that Birmingham Garage djs and mcs could be huge. If you was a DJ you was blessed to be on a Harmony line up. you feel you made it.

Jason showed that a Birmingham brand could gain thousands in attendance constantly from the 1990s up until the late 2000s. Harmony was indeed second to none .

In 2014 Jason decided to take promotion to the next level , he saw the scene he created flourished and needed to go into festival level. Jason saw that all urban genres needed to come together and become and do an open air Urban Music Gathering. Again this was another game changer.

Jason's story is true excellence, what we can learn from him Is that nothing is impossible and dreams can be achieved. Jason believed and inspired thousands of people and he is a one of legacy that deserves to be celebrated highly.

Thank you Jason you have made your mark as a ground breaking promoter mentor supporter of mental health, innovator and born leader.

You will be greatly missed by us all and eternally loved untill such time we meet again.
