Jason Vines: Liver Transplant & Recovery

UPDATE: Jason received his liver transplant on 3/14/23. The surgery went great and the new liver is functioning well. He still has a long road to recovery, but the doctors are amazed at his progress so far. Thank you so much to those of you who have donated!

Thank you so much for visiting Jason’s GoFundMe page. It is with a heavy heart that I have set up this fundraiser.

My closest friend, Jason Vines, is in need of a liver transplant. After a seemingly routine surgery at the hospital, Jason developed a serious infection related to his initial hospital visit. After battling the infection for over a month, Jason’s liver is no longer able to remove toxins from his blood and the doctors have run out of options. Jason has already been approved for the transplant, however, the costs involved are going to be substantial.

This GoFundMe is being organized to support both Jason and his wife Stef through the entire process of his transplant journey. They both have a long road to recovery after the transplant surgery takes place.

Because the surgery will take place at Cleveland Clinic in Westin, FL, we expect donations will be used for travel, housing, food, and medical expenses not covered by insurance.
