Jason Tom Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Our beautiful friend, Jason Tom, departed this world to journey on to another on the morning of Monday, March 15th, 2021. He was surrounded by love from his mother, brothers, and friends.
This fund will assist his parents and brothers and their family in their travel costs from New Mexico and Wisconsin as well as cremation and other memorial costs that honor and remember Jason.
Jason was an ebullient light to his family and to his friends, new and old. He grew up in Gallup, New Mexico and studied at Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon. He was a pasta-making magician and talented chef (and if he made you a breakfast burrito or baked you brioche, you were one of the lucky ones). He shared his culinary gift at local and celebrated Portland restaurants including A Cena, Portofino, Aquariva, Caffe Mingo, and Caprial's Bistro. If you visit Kay's Bar in Sellwood, Oregon, saddle up to the bar and you'll see Jason on the mural there.

Jason loved music, including house music and bluegrass (and, yes, Dolly Parton). He loved to dance whether at the club or on impromptu dance floor at a beach house. He loved horror movies, science fiction books, pedicures, CATS (cat memes, stray cats, house cats, moody cats, loving cats), planned or spontaneous trips to the coast, and above all his family and friends.
Jason was loving and funny, with a quick wit and the ability to lay down cynical one-liners that could slay the room. He was a proud uncle and brother, bragging about his nephews often. He was the life of a party, was down for a board game or few hands of rummy, loved a good dinner party, and he will be missed and loved and remembered because there is no other like him.

Thank you for considering any small or large way to assist his family.
Thank you for telling his stories and remembering his bright and beautiful light.
We love you, Jason. Always have, always will.
