Jason Moore fights Brain Cancer!

Donation protected

I wanted to share the incredible story of a dear friend of mine from high school!
Jason Moore

He has the fight of his life coming towards him and he will fight with every fiber in his soul. We want to ensure his family can focus on him and his upcoming treatment and recovery process.  They may have to travel in order to get the best treatment and with all of that we all know there are lots of expenses.

Please donate what you can! Please share this with family and friends to spread the word for prayers and donations.  Please keep this family lifted in prayer! Sending good vibes and love through the universe to be put in the right path with the best doctors and nurses there is on this earth

I have written this post so many times in my head but I’ve hesitated to put it on here because that makes it seem even more real. I know a lot of you may already know and a lot are wondering about some of my post. Well this is the best short version i can do. Jason has brain cancer.
About two months ago Jay had a grand mal seizure. He was rushed to the ER where they checked him out, they did everything but an MRI. Everyone felt it was an isolated incident. Well little did we know he was continually have seizures. They were focal or partial seizures. We actually had an appointment set up for today to check out what was happening.

Anyways Thursday, September 24, he woke up and didn’t know current events. Day,date, president etc. so I took him to the ER. The did an MRI and found a Lima bean size tumor on his right temporal lobe. They set up an appointment with a neurosurgeon for Friday. We went and they didn’t like the way he was responding and told him they were going to admit him to the hospital. He then had a panic attack thinking about dying and leaving his kids. That caused a major seizure and they called 911 and he was taken to the hospital and admitted.

Saturday they did an MRI with contrast and found not only was there the mass on his temple but it had infiltrated other parts of his brain. Up until then I had been holding onto the hope it wasn’t cancer and maybe even just an infection.
Sunday they did operate and was able to remove the whole mass on his temple but the rest is inoperable. We are still waiting on pathology to let us know what kind of cancer it is. We plan on fighting this we everything we have. He is really positive that he will beat this. Chemo and radiation is definitely in the future but we don’t know when. All we know is we want to do it as fast as possible. He is resting well now and is out of ICU and they said that is a good sign. This morning ( Monday) he was feeling, looking and doing great. He FaceTime or called so many he ran his phone dead but I think that also took it out of him. This afternoon he is in pain, and can’t get comfortable. I got clearance to come stay with him. I’m not allowed to leave the room but I’m prepared and ok with that as long as I’m with him. So we want to say thank you for all the prayers, thoughts and well wishes. We will need as many as we can get.

Tuesday sept 29 update on Jay
He’s obviously more swollen today but they said he is still looking good. He’s reflexes and strength test are great and they are so impressed with how strong he is on both sides of his body. He’s having bad headaches and that’s expected. He had a little physical therapy today and he was super impressed. Over all he’s doing excellent. It’s a roller coaster ride for the both of us. Not going to lie.. we are both scared. But he is determined to fight this. Although we are still waiting on pathology, no kind of brain cancer is good. But I am determined to find and get the best treatment possible. He has too much to live for and is a fighter, stubborn and will beat the odds. Thanks for everyone’s concern. We are definitely feeling the love

Jason Moore’s Goal number #1 after brain surgery was to hold all three of his kids. I would say mission success! We got to come home today from the hospital. I am so happy and impressed that only 3 days after major brain surgery Jay is home. He’s feeling good, looking good, physically and mentally doing amazing. He’s so happy to be alive he has called and talked to so many people. Lol. But this picture right here is his motivation. I promise you, you will never meet a man who loves his family more. We have a long road ahead but I know without a doubt jay will continue to crush his goals. And it’s all thanks to Jehovah, his stubbornness, determination and the love and support from our friends and family. We definitely feel it every single day.
