Jason and Lizz Philip’s family and friends wanted to start this fundraising to help the family with medical and other bills from this terrible tragedy.

On June 30th, Lizz started her day very happy, and in a great mood, she talked to her mom Doris and had a few meetings with her manager Claudia, and all who spoke to her said she sounded great and was in good spirits! On that day, Jason had to go into the office. On his way home, he texted his Queen and let her know he was on his way like he always did, and she responded with excitement. However, when Jason got home, he found his wife of 26 years unconscious; he immediately rushed over to care for Lizz and found her without a pulse and not breathing. He provided CPR and talked with a dispatcher on 911 until the sheriff’s and paramedics arrived. Paramedics were able to start Lizz’s heart again, and she was rushed to Mission Hospital, where doctors continued to work on her in the emergency room. After her heart was restarted, she had CT and MRI scans and X-rays. After the tests, Lizz was intubated, put in a medically induced coma and started on life support. Lizz then went to the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU) after the emergency room. While Lizz’s internal organs have made great strides, her brain seems severely damaged. The family is in the process of making major life decisions as Lizz’s prognosis hasn't changed.
