Jason served as a police officer for many years.  We are grateful for his ongoing devotion and service for our protection and welfare. Serving as an officer took a tremendous toll on his body along with his degenerative disc disease.  Jason is in intense pain much of the time.  He has spinal stenosis, osteoarthritis, his knees are bone on bone. The knees swell so bad he can't function or walk.  Jason wants to do any type of work he can find but his body will only allow him to do work that is less-taxing on his body. He's been trying to get disability.

Jason's condition requires regular doctor visits, medication, further testing. MRI's.  As well as exploring new treatments that might be available.  From his service as a devoted police officer, PTSD over took him and along with that came depression and anxiety. Police officers are on the front-lines of societies wars.  None of us can imagine the workload unless we have been there.

The money will be used for ongoing medical expenses, utilities, and short term needs that have hit him like a freight train. Jason was already in a world of hurt before Covid hit and this had made everything much worse. He's a fighter though and we look up to him for his grit and determination.

We chose this picture to represent the mountains and cliffs we all must climb in mortal like. Some sooner than others. Still each of us must eventually climb over mortal mountain ranges and edges of cliffs that will shake us to the very core of our existence.
