Memorial Fund for Jason "Jake" Flick
Donation protected
On Friday, July 22, 2022, we received the news that my brother-in-law, Jake Flick, was killed in a motorcycle accident. It is with such a heavy heart to share the news with everyone. We are all in such a state of disbelief and grief. I'm hoping to help my sister, Sarah, and their kids Max (12) and Molly (9) by reaching out and asking for help to ease the financial burden that comes from such an unexpected tragedy.
Jake, a native of Pennsylvania, served our country in the U.S. Navy, and went on to work with veterans at the West Virginia VA as a doctor of psychology. He wanted to help as many people as possible, and he touched so many lives.
He enjoyed so much life has to give. He especially loved motorcycle rides, fishing/hunting, The Steelers, a nice glass of wine, Rick and Morty, working on his novel, and so much more. But his greatest accomplishment was his family.
Jake and Sarah met in college at IUP, and they were perfect for each other. I remember him telling me when I was a kid that he used to have this angel pin that he named Sarah Elizabeth. When he met my sister and found out her name was Sarah Elizabeth, he knew their love was meant to be. Life only got better when Max and Molly came along. He loved his family more than anything and was their biggest cheerleader.
Each day without him will be unbelievably difficult. There is nothing that will make this situation ok, but I hope to make it a little easier for Sarah, Max, and Molly. If you can please donate to help cover any memorial/end of life costs and to help the family overall it is extremely appreciated. Please say an extra prayer for them too.
We want to thank everyone who has already reached out and to those involved with the meal trains.
